I have really been running on autopilot these last few weeks. Between running, scheduling nap times, meeting new friends, and planning "parenting group." I really just haven't felt 100%. Charlotte's stopped sleeping through the night which strangely coincides with the time I stopped using the box fan in her room because it was too cold. I'm secretly turning it on tonight and not telling Adam, (that's my version of a double blind study.) She's been cranky, and teething, and learning to walk.. and some days I just wonder how we both ate and made it through alive.
For example.. this is my favorite thing this week. Charlotte and I go running between 730 and 8 am so we can get back, both shower, and she can be napping between about 9-10 ish. This last week I was hurrying, and forgot to undress her before I jumped in the shower. So I was dripping water out the curtain as I tried to get her clothes/ diaper off and haul her in with me. I finally got down to those darn pants and was kinda shaking her up and down trying to get them off her ankles before I created Lake Powell's twin outside the tub. I remember watching them fall off, and I tossed her on my hip. I was just on autopilot from then on out. Wash, rinse, repeat. I scrubbed every inch of Charlotte with the lufa. Then we towel up, get out.. only to see the following picture
This sock is still on her foot. So I had it nice and clean, but it just makes me wonder sometimes.. what kind of mother are you that you didn't notice she was still wearing a sock (albeit a very clean sock after showering)??

What kind of mother are you?

Ha ha ha!!! So you scrubbed every inch, even with the sock on? How funny! Yeah, I've had those weeks. I often put Brenna in her high chair for lunch, give her several pieces of sandwich, and then start doing other things only to come back 30 minutes later to find her sound asleep with sandwich pieces clutched in her fists.
