Happy Valentines Day to ME

I must admit being pregnant for 2 of the last 3 years- there's been nothing that I have been super excited to buy myself. There's just something about know that it's only temporary- or that it's meant to go over the 25 plus pounds that 9 months brings.. that kinda unsweetens the pie of buying maternity clothes. And since my non-maternity shopping consists entirely of raiding my 2 sisters closets for unwanted items (thank you erin and lauren) it was SO nice to find something that I have wanted for myself.
Picture this- you're sitting on the beach preggo with Charlotte and another mom walks by and you are just awestruck by the amazingness of her swimming suit. You just know that THAT is the suit for you- I mean you're half tempted to go steal it from her car after she's changed out of it because it's that awesome- but you constrain yourself to simply asking her where she bought it. That was 2 1/2 years ago. Then you remember the detail, the style, and oh yes... the name of the store.. all leading up to this moment when you finally are back to your normal size and you get to buy.. this valentine gift to moi...


I honestly think I wore it for an hour around the house and that Adam finally quit answering my "doesn't it look SO good?" question after my 50th query.
It's from www.uniquevintage.com but I bought it at their Burbank store so I could try it on. It's the esther williams swimsuits (FYI- they run really small)
