Did she just point at him and say DAD?

How is it that I push for 4 hours, and the first real acknowledged words out of her mouth were DAD? I was SO excited today, because during a sit down talk with Charlotte about how we don't hit 'mom' she looked right at me kinda leaned her head, and said.. "Mama". Of course I broke into tears. But.. Adam would not be shown up.

Later that night while she was playing on the floor he was video taping her while I was working on some flight information on the computer for my parents. He comes in to show me the video. On video (we don't have the wherewith to post those yet) she is playing by herself. Stops, turns, and points at Adam. Then.. without any coaxing while pointing she says.. Dad. Not Dada, not babble, just " Dad". She does this 3 times, and then returns to play.

Golly gee. I had her repeat the word I just said back to me, and he gets his spontaneously. Well.. It's one of those paybacks to know that she knows who we are. :)

So in tribute- Here's a fun photos from this week.

It means so much when they start saying Mom and Dad. Like you said, it is so rewarding to know that they know who you are.

I'm sure Adam did plenty of prepping before the video. :) How fun! She is just adorable.
