What did she say??!

I was pushing Charlotte home from a friend's house and as we approached the corner by the grocery store there were 2 women standing on the corner, so we waited behind them.

These women were... well... let's just say they were dressed approriately for their geographical position (ie. the corner). As we were behind them Charlotte suddenly and distinctly yells out the words.. "WHITE TRASH!" while pointing simultaneously at these 2 women. I was floored. My jaw dropped, I sat stunned wondering what in the world they were teaching these kids in nursery *that's where we've developed a large vocabulary list* and my face turned red. I stammered, shocked as Charlotte again YELLS out "WHITE TRASH" while pointing to the women who have whipped around and are staring at us with death filled eyes. I really thought they might just take on this mother of 2 in the stroller.

It took me just another instant to notice that sitting beside the women on the ground was indeed crumpled up receipts. I had found the answer.. Charlotte's white trash. I tried to explain that yes there was "White Garbage" on the ground. Charlotte is proudly learning the color of all the objects she sees.. sometimes I wish her observations wouldn't put me on the spot about to go 3 rounds with the women on the corner.

I for one, believe that you could have taken them. Don't you have a shiv or something in the bottom of that diaper bag?

okay that has to be published or something! So can see that in a Tina Fay movie. WOW, that was hilarious to read. Great comment Shade, I too think she could take them down.

Teva, this is Kindle. I've checked your blog a few times recently, ever since we chatted through Facebook a couple of weeks ago. This post is hilarious! You wrote the story perfectly, in order to build up the suspense and hilarity. If you don't mind, I'm going to send this post to some friends. They'll appreciate the humor.

Nice save, Kelsey. It's a good thing you had crumpled up receipts in your diaper bag to throw on the sidewalk.
